The latest in a string of new indoor entertainment venues in the Triangle is coming to Cary.

Altitude Trampoline Park, a Texas-based franchise, is opening at 220 Grande Heights Drive, according to its website. The space was a former Staples office supply store.

Located in the Harrison Pointe shopping center of Harrison Avenue, the trampoline park will be less than two miles north from downtown. Altitude has two other North Carolina locations, one in Gastonia and one in Jacksonville. It has approximately 100 locations in 27 states, plus Puerto Rico, Argentina, Spain and Mexico.

Attractions at Altitude vary by location and include dodgeball, climbing walls, foam pits and more. Memberships cost $30 while daily passes vary in price, according to its website.

Altitude did not return a request for comment.

The company operates as a franchise. Franchise fees are $45,000 per location. Franchisees also pay Altitude 6 percent of gross sales and 2 percent of gross sales in royalty and marketing fees, per its website.

Other indoor trampoline parks in the Triangle include Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Morrisville and Raleigh, Big Air Trampoline Park in Raleigh, Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Apex and Raleigh and Defy in Raleigh.

The Triangle has gained some new players in indoor entertainment. Triangle Rock Club is gearing up to open its newest Raleigh location by the end of the year. The pickleball and golf venue Pin Point recently opened in Raleigh. In addition, family entertainment venue ParTee Shack plans to open two new locations in the Raleigh area. Andretti Indoor Karting & Games plans open next to Topgolf in Durham next spring.

Cary itself is getting a large sporting complex, with basketball, pickleball and volleyball courts.

Altitude’s parent company is Indoor Active Brands, which also owns a pickleball company called The Pickle Pad.

The Harrison Pointe shopping center includes Harris Teeter, The Big Easy Oven + Tap, NYC Bagels, Asian Garden, Bravo’s Mexican Grill and other tenants.

With multiple Big Lots leases headed to auction in the Triangle as part of the retailer's bankruptcy, entertainment venues may have ample opportunity to open more locations.
